Visual ASMRMediaVisual ASMR An exploration of tactile textures in nature by Onesal What does ASMR stand for? Japanese Art studio Onesal has launched a self initiated series of four short films proposing a novel visual approach to explain it. Visual ASMR, or Visual Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response. ASMR is the subjective experience of euphoria characterized by a combination of positive feelings and a distinct static-like tingling sensation on the skin. Natural sculpture formations set in seemingly impossible earth-like landscapes covered by living elements of surreal colors, each film travel through each almost at a micro level, witnessing its evolution. All takes place in four other-worldly landscapes we set up to examine up close the interaction, movements and evolution of the elements with their surroundings. Trasys, everything is codeMediaWe created the overall visual identity for the company, both in digital and print applications, based on this very concept: Everything is code. We worked closely with creative director Paris Mexis, who envisioned a concept for an entirely visual world, where code lines would be a fundamental structural element. Starting from this idea, we designed a tailor-made illustration style and created a series of fictional characters that reflected the energy and the culture of the company. Each illustration consisted of small pieces of code lines that had humorous or lyrical messages, or just a random code. The design style was inspired by the computer screen pixels, since it is the main tool of the client. Simple and straightforward, yet with a creative twist, it aimed to express the forward thinking direction of the company. Our challenge was to create a story that resonates with an international audience. Design a unique experience and connect with an intimate narrative. "Mi casa es tu casa." is our mantra. Complete signage system, brand collaterals, interior design, and the website was thoroughly evaluated. We revealed a series of design elements that conduct guests into a journey to Mexican artisan pieces.
