30 Under 30 ExhibitionMediaI had a great opportunity to hold this interactive exhibition called '30 under 30' in seven cities around China to celebrate the 30 year anniversary of SHIMAO with OUTPUT. We interviewed 30 year old people working in diverse industries, and used the voices talking about their stories of being 30 as part of the exhibition. Audiences can combine each part to build a complete figure and listen to the related story. Josef Bolf: A Premonition Of Shadow ?
exhibitionMediaAt the National Gallery in Prague, one of the most intriguing contemporary Czech painters returns to scratching into wax painted with black ink, a technique he practically abandoned almost a decade ago, and in the exhibition combines it with animations and collages layered on glass plates. The accompanying publication darkens adequately as black spills from the image section to encompass the whole book. Pictures stand out on the dark background on the uncoated paper of the introduction, as well as under coat in the actual catalog. Otherwise calm, classical arrangement of the book (together with its readers) is disrupted only by images shifting neurotically into the text and by black rectangles left empty as gaps in the overall image of the autobiographical, but reclusive artist. The silver cover of the catalog reflects distorted shapes as well as a mirror wall, which on the first floor of the Trade Fair Palace holds both Bolf's site-specific drawing and a text by a curator. SUCCESSMediaFor 5 years now, ERGO Hestia reports have been created in cooperation with young artists ? winners of the Special Prize of the President of ERGO Hestia Group, presented in the Hestia Artistic Journey competition. This year's edition of the Ergo Hestia Annual Report focuses on the subject of success ? primarily on the financial success of the company, and is thus presented in diagrams and tables which have been converted into the "language of the senses". Award winning artist Joanna Kunert asked employees how they sense success ? and what it looks, tastes and smells like. Based upon their responses, she prepared a dinner menu to which she invited the employees. The dishes ? of which three-dimensional scans are shown in the Report ? were made from local ingredients sourced from Poland's Tricity area.
